The Winter Blues
Hey Everyone,
It has been a very long time since I last wrote in my blog, like last year!
A lot has happened since then, for example, quitting my old job working as a cleaner at a hotel and getting a job in a backpackers working in reception.
This job was going to help me become better at speaking in public and low and behold, have me on a big bus full of contiki people on their tours.
Also moving outta home with parents and moving in with my best friend, which was just after my 21st birthday in december last year. It was about time too, just to have a bit more freedeom, which has also helped me to become more independent and understand more to what is involved in the real world.
I graduated in march this year in a diploma of tourism management which I was finally glad to finish, i'm a lot better at talking to people now on the phone and in front of them. Ever since working at the backpackers I have been on a few famils which help give you, the receptionist a better understanding of what there is to do in our little town of Rotorua and be able to tell others and sell it to them.
I have some pictures which I will be putting up when I find them...
Firstly... I went white water rafting with a group called kaitiaki and man they are awesome!! they go through every little detail on how to keep safe when in the raft on the river which is a grade 5 with the world's largest commercialised waterfall of 7 metres how cool is that? :P we almost flipped at the bottom of the waterfall and the girl next to me fell out... I managed to hold on... later on I also went sledging on the same river, sledging is like body boarding in the river holding on for dear life great fun!
Since then the last famil that I have been on took me to the agrodome to do the awesome agrojet which is extremely fast, i got to go on what we call a swoop which involves u harnessed into something that is like a sleeping bag and fly towards the ground 40 metres then fly like superman, a thrill seeker that you will enjoy. And last but most certanly not the least...
Bungy Jumping!!
Yes, I can't believe it myself for one who is terrified of heights to go up and jump daamn it was freaky!! it was 142ft high. Let's just say i'd never seen that view of rotorua before...upside down lol you definately gotta experience your town upside down! hehee :P
Well I better quit all this writing, I probably wrote enough to cover all my blog in one hit lol!
Turn ur town upside down :P
