My Best Friend & I...
I'm on the right and she is on the left, we have been best friends since I was 3, some people think we are sisters lol. Just wanted to share with you my best friend :)
The Winter Blues Hey Everyone, It has been a very long time since I last wrote in my blog, like last year! A lot has happened since then, for example, quitting my old job working as a cleaner at a hotel and getting a job in a backpackers working in reception. This job was going to help me become better at speaking in public and low and behold, have me on a big bus full of contiki people on their tours. Also moving outta home with parents and moving in with my best friend, which was just after my 21st birthday in december last year. It was about time too, just to have a bit more freedeom, which has also helped me to become more independent and understand more to what is involved in the real world. I graduated in march this year in a diploma of tourism management which I was finally glad to finish, i'm a lot better at talking to people now on the phone and in front of them. Ever since working at the backpackers I have been on a few famils which help give you, the receptionist a better understanding of what there is to do in our little town of Rotorua and be able to tell others and sell it to them. I have some pictures which I will be putting up when I find them... Firstly... I went white water rafting with a group called kaitiaki and man they are awesome!! they go through every little detail on how to keep safe when in the raft on the river which is a grade 5 with the world's largest commercialised waterfall of 7 metres how cool is that? :P we almost flipped at the bottom of the waterfall and the girl next to me fell out... I managed to hold on... later on I also went sledging on the same river, sledging is like body boarding in the river holding on for dear life great fun! Since then the last famil that I have been on took me to the agrodome to do the awesome agrojet which is extremely fast, i got to go on what we call a swoop which involves u harnessed into something that is like a sleeping bag and fly towards the ground 40 metres then fly like superman, a thrill seeker that you will enjoy. And last but most certanly not the least... Bungy Jumping!! Yes, I can't believe it myself for one who is terrified of heights to go up and jump daamn it was freaky!! it was 142ft high. Let's just say i'd never seen that view of rotorua before...upside down lol you definately gotta experience your town upside down! hehee :P Well I better quit all this writing, I probably wrote enough to cover all my blog in one hit lol! Turn ur town upside down :P P3ac3 0ut funne_girly
Thursday 26th October... Well this week has been pretty random, i have applied for a few jobs a few weeks ago still havnt heard from them, though it doesnt matter now because I applied on a job on Tuesday, saw the owner the next day and got the job, i was amazed :P:) and yaay!! ' i'm still sick but it looks like i have whooping cough, meant to last 100 days but i have 5 days to go and i kinda dont think it will go... anyways...oh yeah been busy this week with big reports, my brain feels like its going to explode arrghhh!
oh yeah, one of my reports i did on Black Water Rafting in Waitomo New Zealand, the marketing area in tourism would like to see a copy of my report, and the lady i've been talking to is going to take it with her to the board's AGM. Scary. Yet Kewl :P
Well i think that is all for now... i'll probabaly think of more shortly so i guess you'll have more to see.. anyways.. catch yaz laterz have a great day :D funne_girly
They Finally Listened... Well... i've been sick for 3 months, seen 5 doctors, a nurse and had 5 different kinds of meds... alas they did not work. My "cold" got so bad i gave up not going to the doctors because they didn't listen, and went. Yaay they listened!! after feeling like crap for 3 months, and sad and everything else with it, i feel better now that they're doing something. My doctor said i may have a bit of whooping cough, and he also sent me for blood tests, which didnt help coz i felt weird that day anyways, so needles wern't too nice... i also went and had chest x rays and now i'm just waiting to hear from the results, hope they're okies. i'm just glad i wasn't ignored this time, so yay about that. Yeah i know it's not much... Have a Great evening, morning...day Don't forget to have fun! :) funne_girly
Long Time...No Talk.... Well yes it has been aaages since I last wrote in here...sorry about that, had no good material, not that this is either...but i thought id just wtack my brain and see what I could come up with, so here goes... Firstly, one question I have to ask, coz it has been running through my mind for a while now... What's with having people knock on the toilet door when you're in there and they know you're there then a minute later they knock again, if its a small room with the only way out being the door and there's someone still inside, and the door hasn't opened...there is a good chance that yes, they are still inside. So stop knocking!! What else? hmm. This week in New Zealand, ever since we were told that scientists say that 25% of our ozone layer has gone...we have had very hot sunny days like it was summer already.
!?!?!?!?!Funky Friday!?!?!?!?! Heeeey all!! Sorry I havn't written in aaages, been really busy, lots of essays and reports and dramas within themselves... Then theres friday nite... Steff and I finally decided we couldnt be bothered making dinner so we went out to town. It was around 10pm and walked past maccas incase the seating area was open, nope still only take away or freeze ur butt off outside. So we kept walking to BK, mmm BK. After waiting at the counter for about 10 minutes they decided to serve us and i asked for 2 of the meal thingys, and wen they put them on the trays the guy said it was burgers only i said we ordered the meals... so in the end we got the full meals and we onlt paid for the burgers... sweet! Then we found out the BK crowns were free so us being us.. got one lol. We were sitting in BK for about 3 hours or more just chatting was a quiet nite, we stayed till they were about to close, close to 2am. We had very random people that were yelling at each other between booths with Steff and I in the middle. And in the left corner... 2 really drunk ditsy females, and in the right corner looks like a whole family and dodgey daad... its the guuuyssss. lol, and and both females and males were talking bout their experiences with the human anatomy. So glad we had finished dinner a while ago... So our crowns, yeah they bring attention to ourselves, hehe. When we left BK, we went around town, a few cop cars, lots of drunk people having a good time, people asking bout our crowns lol, was a great night/ morning. We plan on taking our crowns out more frequently on a friday nite/ morning lol. Well thats all for now, bettera get back to this dumb essay that is due on wednesday, and monday is almost over here...bugger. It's only coz I lost the vital piece of information that would enable me to start and prob. finish this at least 1800 word essay. Ha, my brain is lame sometimes. Anyways.. Remembering A Special Someone I can't believe it's been three years now, September 14, 2003. I still remember the last few weeks before and after you left. A week before, we came up and saw you and even though you were sick it was like you were still okay. Nana had interesting hand towels in the bathroom, that had animal prints doing random things like a cow ironing a t shirt and burning a hole in it, or a pig holding onto the washing line spinning around. I took one and neatly folded it and put it into my pocket, not knowing this memory would be the last one with you and nana together at your house. I still have the paper towel, although it's white it hasnt got dirty and still looks brand new, I bring out from time to time, just thinking. I think I remeber you telling me to have a good time in Australia, because our class was going there on September 15, and to have fun... The next week, my sister and I got messages in school, we don't normally get messages to get pulled out of class, we knew something was wrong. That day was really weird we signed out and met dad and he took us home and my brother was home with mum, weird. Next thing dad tells us you're very sick in hospital, and we are driving to Auckland, the car ride up for the 2 and a half hours seemed really weird coz it was mostly silent, we didn't know what to say. The rest of the family was there when we got there, we saw you for a bit but it was too much for my sister and she had to leave the room, I wish I had given you the hug I was going to, but with everyone else around me crying and my sister and seeing you in the bed like that it was too much, i'm sorry. I went to the room next door and looked after my sister, when we left that day, mum stayed. Everyone kept telling me that you would've still wanted me to go to Australia, even though leading up to australia I couldn't wait, at that time it wasn't even on my mind. That week was pretty hard at school knowing that you were in hospital, really really sick, on the Sunday, the day you died, dad took my sister and I to hamilton an hour and a half away from you... we had a hockey game, and the next day I was off to Australia. We love our hockey and you always talked with us about it, and as we were playing our game that day, dad got a call from mum saying you had died. The coach knew as well, we won that game, and later dad told us; it was a shock and hard to believe. Going to school on Monday was really hard, and knowing that by the evening I would be leaving NZ and missing your funeral. Everything was weird, the long bus drive to Auckland was hard nothing to do and all I could think about was you, besides the trying not to be sick from the trip, and trying not to cry. In Australia, it was a whole new experience, seeing as i'd never travelled overseas before, over there it felt like nothing had happened and everything was normal, and when i'd get back you would be there. When I got back it was weird, my sister was with mum in Auckland with nana for a few weeks, that week I was back I cried myself to sleep everynight, I missed you so much. Everyone misses you a lot and wishes you were still here. Writing down my memories to you hekps me to not forget, as I wrote this I tried not to, but was crying most of the time, we love you and miss you We found a possibility why you died on that day, it was the day you were released from the prison camp. R.I.P Grandad Take time to remember moments you've shared with loved ones funne_girly Sorry it's really long but I needed to get my feelings down. Have a nice day.
